I have this horn sitting around and I never play on it any more - so it makes sense that I offer it here in case someone is looking for a good jazz horn. It's always better to have someone play a good horn than to let it sit and gather dust.
This a pretty bright, projecting horn. IMHO one of the better playing 3508Rs. It is a bit sharp in pitch: you'll love this if you like to play 1st position a bit off the slide lock; otherwise, you'll end up pulling the tuning slide out a fair bit. This does affect the horn a bit: in my experience, the horn resonates better with the tuning slide more closed than open.
As you can see from the photos, minor lacquer wear and blemishes.
Many years ago, I crushed the slide crook and had the Slide Doctor replace it. He sent me the slide back better than it came out of the factory.
The bell has been crinkled and repaired, but you can't tell from a camera. No issues with playing.
Original case included.
Leadpipes #1 and #3 included. I don't remember ever having the #2 leadpipe. I settled on using the #3 leadpipe when I was playing it.
Faxx 7C mouthpiece included.
This is a decent hard carrying case, but it's not a good shipping case. If you don't live in driving distance of me, I'll have to bundle it up in shipping boxes pretty well to prevent damage to the horn, and thus shipping costs apply.
$1200 USD

In case anyone is interested, I still have this sitting around.
I'm also willing to trade for a B-flat trumpet or F horn of roughly equivalent value, or if there's a significant value difference, the difference in cash. No ridiculous Monette trumpets or the like, though.
