Hello All

[url=https://themusiciansclub.net/pages/how-will-this-marketplace-work]Professionals will set their own rates based on their experience and expertise. Payments will be processed securely through Shopify Payments, with a standard 20% service fee deducted from each booking to support platform operations.

What are the perks a teacher will get for that 20%? I'm already as busy as I can really be teaching my lessons, I don't see any reason to give up 20% of my fee or raise my lesson rates unless there's a pretty good benefit that is being offered.

Hi David,

You’ll have access to a platform where students can easily find you and book lessons. Essentially, it’s the students who are paying the additional 20% fee, not you—it gets added on top of your rate.

We’ve been receiving applications from all kinds of artists, even singers and actors, which was a surprise but a welcome one! We also understand that some teachers, like those with 65 private students weekly, might find this less suitable. But for the student who used to fly overseas for lessons, this could be a great, more affordable option.
