I have one. Still working on it, but it will be a great player. Brand new inners and a full overhaul. $975 if I buff and lacquer. $800 with no lacquer..

Yes, it sure looks great, especially with the silver finish. The O-25s are VERY nice trombones, designed (he claimed) by Robert Marsteller (L. A. Philharmonic) and only produced by Olds for a few years in the early 1970s. As the 1973 Olds catalog noted, most O-25s had a red brass bell, and sounded very rich. (Note also the unusually large 0.554" bore.) I expect there were very few made with the silver finish. The eBay listing appears honest, and the price seems very reasonable; the buyer will surely smile when he receives this trombone. :)

Might want to change your heading to "WTB Olds Opera Symphony with Rose Brass Bell." Save folks some time with responding and sending pics.
Still waiting for OLDS SYMPHONY 0-25 model.
If there is perhaps only bell section available for OLDS SYMPHONY 0-25,I would also take it,because I already have O-23 model,so could use slide from that model-of course, prefer complete horn.

Different instruments.
• Olds O-23 (also labeled "Opera") was mostly supplied with a 0.547" bore (though apparently – according to the Olds 1970 catalog – some had a 0.554" bore!), a different valve than the O-25, and a "nickel-silver" thin-gauge bell (and, I believe, nickel-silver outer slides).
• All Olds O-25 trombones had 0.554" bore, with red brass bell, brass outer slide, and very different mechanical valve linkage. A few early O-25 models were engraved with the name Olds Opera, but that name was later used for the Olds O-23, with the O-25 referred to (but not engraved?) as Olds Symphony.

Thanks John. The O-25 does not appear in the Olds 1970 catalog - it must have had a short production life from ~1971 to the mid or late 1970s. Very nice trombones!
