I was streaming Part’s 3rd Symphony through my son’s Bose speaker using my Apple phone and Apple Music.

Can anyone recommend a similar device? I’m a little thrown off by some of the adverts and the thought that my smart speaker is eavesdropping is disconcerting. but maybe a good sounding speaker that will link up to the net and play Apple Music?

Imo, none of them are good enough to listen to orchestral music. There are too many points of signal degradation and distortion.

That said, if you just want something to use, there are many cheap options on Amazon. I use a 17 dollar one to listen to audiobooks and watch Netflix with my phone.

Being fussy about trying to find the best sound in a small speaker, I settled on the 'Marley Liberate'.

It'll connect with Bluetooth or by audio input as well.

For the size it's very satisfactory for classical and jazz.

Yes pairing the iPod to any Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth enabled audio system is the easiest way to go about it.

Many soundbars can pair through bluetooth to a phone. There are quite a few bluetooth speakers that are not "Smart" , and really just amplifier music.
