I'm looking for sacred trombone ensembles, ranging from intermediate to moderately advanced.
I'm interested in duets, trios and quartets.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm not sure what qualifies something as "sacred" but Eric Burger has transcribed a lot of old music for trombone ensembles of various sizes. Some of it might qualify. https://www.ericburgermusic.com/trombone-trios

Beethoven's Mount of Olives trio
Beethoven's Drei Equali (not really sacred, but fits into any sacred situation - played at Beethoven's funeral, and one of the few you'll find by a master which was originally written for trombone quartet)
Bruckner wrote many tbone quartet and trio things. (Motets, Christus Factus Est, Inveni David, Virga Jesse, Os Justi...)
Charpentier - Liturgique
Stephen Wilson arranged the hymn Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing - very nice arrangement
Bill Harbinson transcribed an arrangement by David Holsinger of On A Hymnsong of Philip Bliss - one of the better hymn arrangements you'll come across
Jim Nova did a quartet arrangement of Panis Angelicus
The Lord's Prayer, a nice PD quartet arrangement attached here

Thanks! I found the Harbinson arrangement-- sounds very nice-- but I couldn't find the Wilson arrangement nor the Nova arrangement.
Do you have links for those?

You can go to CPDL.org and do a multi-category search, specifying sacred music, Renaissance and/or baroque, and voicings that work for 2-4 trombones (for example TT, TB, ATB, TTB, BBB, ATTB, etc). The search engine on that website is a hot mess so you probably want to do separate searches for each voicing otherwise it gets confused and returns very few hits.
That should give you a few hundred pieces to choose from.

Lillenas has a series of books entitled 500 hymms for instruments. Usually 4 parts per book, suggestions in the books for melody, 1st harmony, 2nd harmony etc, available in various bass and treble clef for most instruments. Probably high school, level if I remember correctly

You'll want to look up sheet music by Jeff Reynolds. Jefe was bass trombonist for the L.A. Philharmonic for 42 years, the director of the Moravian Trombone Choir in L.A. for many years, and has written and transcribed literally hundreds of sacred pieces for trombone groups ranging from 2 to 20 players. He's your guy.
