So, I found a really good deal on a King Tempo. I`d been looking for a slightly smaller horn.
So it arrived, and It`s in amazing condition. A 1962 vintage. The case is in great shape but stinks.
At first, I had a hard time getting used to the blow because it`s very different from my Bach12.
Pros - Very easy blow. The upper range just jumps out of the horn
Great slide. The horn just lights up when I put the pixie mute in and use the plunger
Cons - It`s a very thick nickel plated bell. I have a 1953 Tempo bell on my 2B valve trombone and it`s
not as thick. but pays darker than a couple 2B`s I tried.
So far I`m really liking it. The guys in the Big Band I play with have said they like the sound. Cuts a little more than
my Bach
