He surely is a Johnson….

He reached out by email regarding my wanted for a Thein bvd valve section. An enormous longshot to begin with but he claimed to have one. When I asked for photos he responded with a bartok valve section…. Be ware!

Yeah, that fool responded to a Facebook post I had. Told him to unowhut off and blocked him.

Yea, a while back I posted if anyone had or knew of a single plug Yamaha YBL 621 he said he had one and sent me a picture of a very unique horn with various different parts on it - I cant remember now what made it unique but it clearly was not a Yamaha YBL 621. I didnt respond.

Reading my own post made me curious to search my emails and find the horn that was shown to me. See attached Covenant Johnsons "Yamaha YBL 621" horn. As you can see its a very striking and original horn. There must be a tech around that would instantly recognise his own work, or maybe a player who has played it. I think the bell and slide might be Yamaha but the rest is unique (to me at least!).

Apparently the answer to both those questions is yes. Covenant01 used his members email to personally email me.

His email pops up in Google as one used in scams from Nigeria.

Got another follow up email from Covenant Johnson. I asked where he was located at so that I could "figure shipping costs," and he said Washington. The email he sent me was not the same one listed under Covenant01 in the members list. Similar, but not exactly the same.

When i locked up Covenant Johnson on FB, what seemed like an African man showed up-- at least he had a number of African friends. i don't want to besmirch all Africans, but is there any way to confirm that Covenant Johnson is really a scammer or not. I haven't replied back to him today

one trick is to ask something technical he has to correct, because it is false: like, are these 4th generation Hagmann valves?

I'm corresponding with him on a Marcinckiewicz mouthpiece. I'm not sure how to test him further on that.

Me too as I said in an earlier post, the email he lists on his profile was the one he sent me the above picture on. Its all well and good asking him technical questions but he is probably sat there reading our posts on the subject!... Doug

Yeah, he sent me an email about an 8H tuning slide. Sent photographs and agreed on a price. Seemed pretty straight forward. But two weeks later no slide and no response. Just sent a claim though PayPal, hopefully it will all work out, just sucks being scammed…

Just got the claim dispo back in from PayPal, they upheld it. Really thankful for that and that I insisted on PayPal Goods and Services.
