Hey, what horn does Andy Martin play? I see various different answers on the interwebs. Anyone know? I'm curious.

Andy is advertised as a "Yamaha Artist"

https://www.yamaha.com/artists/andymartin.html

That Site says that he plays:

YSL-891Z (Small-bore [0.508"] tenor)

YBL-830 (Independent Bass)

YSL-881 (Large-bore straight tenor)

YEP-321 (Euphonium)

Yep, I just saw him last week in a cozy little restaurant in Cambria with the great Charlie Shoemake Combo. Marvelous! Andy was one of his improv students way back when, as was Charlie Morillas.

Very good. Amazing the who's who players he brings up from LA or from all over to perform in this little town. $25 a person to get in and a spectacular Italian dinner at The Harmony Cafe. The guest artists just adore Charlie and his wife, Sandy, who was a vocalist for Nelson Riddle among others.

When I was in the Oscars orchestra a couple years ago he played an 897Z with some mods (probably the prototype leadpipe) and an 881 straight large bore
