Piano Recording Setups - Which recording do you prefer?

Not strictly trombone related, but I'm curious to see which of these two recording setups trombone players prefer for a grand piano. I am learning to record the piano and I'm trying out different mic placements and EQs. Take a listen and let me know which one you like more. If you care to explain why you prefer one over the other, that'd be cool to know as well!
