Hi all,
I’m looking for a silver plating service that takes individual requests (Not just mass produced plating). For like a trombone slide or two and or raw brass mouthpieces.
Appreciate any leads. Thanks!

Anderson Plating in Elkhart. You will need a tech to prepare the items to be plated. Send them an email for a quote.

Anderson seems willing to deal directly with customers. I don't know if this is a recent change. But whether you feel comfortable simply following their directions (which are pretty minimal) for packing and shipping is another issue. I think they were going through some rough times for a few years, and getting valves replated was a real problem for a lot of people. If they're doing that again, I've got a 100 year old tuba whose valves I wouldn't mind getting replated -- but I should really take the valve cluster off to do that. Maybe some day.

Anderson is not doing valve refits.
Anderson still does plating for the handful of folks out there that do valve refits, but they are not doing any of the honing/fitting work.

Thanks guys. Appreciate your comments. Seems Anderson is the way to go, and I’m close enough to go in person!
