I`ve tried Many, many different mouthpieces over the decades for my small horns, but ALWAYS come back to my trusted Mount Vernon 7C. Well as of the last couple of years the 7C has been giving me problems. Rim not as comfy
etc...
I`ve been very frustrated with it.
On a lark, I bought a Monette TS11 from a forum member. I`d never seen a Monette in the wild , and the $$$ was right so why not.
It`s been a month now and I LOVE this mouthpiece !!!!!
Alot of my chop problems have gone away. Solid upper range, great slotting, a lot more control top to bottom.
I` was skeptical of the whole Monette mystique for years and could not justify $400 for a mouthpiece
But I am now a believer.

I've sort of felt the same way about AR Resonance mouthpieces. Revelatory. :)
But I'm not giving up my multiple Doug Elliott setups yet. ;)

I agree, I`ll never sell my MtV 7C`s , if just for sentimental reasons. We`ve been thru a lot together

Rusty,
It`s a little bigger than my 7c`s with a very rounded rim. it might be just a tad shallower, not quite sure on that.
