Someone a while ago posted a video of their Conn (70/71H?) where they had turned the valve tuning slide into a moving trigger slide, similar to Thein's Bartok valve. I can't find the post that it was in.
Can someone link me which thread it was in, or re-link the video and photos of the mechanism?
Best

I was thinking that the bell section was mostly silver plated. Looking at it again, the bell does look like it could be nickel. I wish Mr. Nystrom would have given more details on the particulars of the instrument.

I work with Brad. He was the original bass trombonist of the Hamburg production of The Lion King. I’ll ask him next time i see him. He doesn’t play anymore but he still conducts our show. I know he offloaded most of his horns when he retired from playing, so im quite sure he wouldn’t have it any more. But im sure he’d be happy to share more information about it.

I could have sworn I saw this horn pop up on Elbblech a while back....
Edit: FOUND THE LISTING: <LINK_TEXT text="https://elbblech.de/products/conn-72h-1 ... il-2-hebel">https://elbblech.de/products/conn-72h-1962-bass-posaune-trombone-elkhart-vernickelt-1-ventil-2-hebel</LINK_TEXT>
Someone please correct me if it's not the same horn. If it is, the listing translates as nickel plated brass bell

There seem to be more than 1 of these nickel-plated 72h in the world, but without the Bartok valve.

There is a very high chance that’s the exact same horn from Brad’s video.
