Hello!! I have a question about bach LT16M

I'm currently replacing the 3B crook on my bach LT16M handslide, but it doesn't seem to go well with the 50-piece Silke I was using before. Is there any Mouthpiece you can recommend?

I think Schilke 50 and Bach 6.5AL is still too deep for small bore trombone, especially for sub-0.525 bore trombones.
Try some shallower mouthpieces. If you're accustomed to Schilke 50(25.4mm) rim, maybe Bach 6 3/4C, Bach 7C, or Denis wick 7CS. Or If you can go full custom, maybe Doug Elliott LT100C3 will fit you and the horn nicely.

Doug Elliot C+ cup is right on the money. I used a D3 shank, my friend that bought the horn uses a D4.

I have a similar sized Edwards and like the DE D cup with a D3 shank. Works for me, and my colleagues gave me favourable comments on that combo when I played it against other choices that I had available.

I disagree that the Schilke 50 & 6 1/2 are too big for the 16M.
Jimmy Pankow plays a 50 on his Yamaha .508
Dave Bargeron played a 6 1/2 on his 2B
Marshall Gilkes mouthpiece is not small for his .500 model.
It`s what works for you.
For about 1 1/2 years I played a Schilke 51B on my Bach 12, now I have a Giardinelli Jiggs Whigham rim
on either a 51B bottom or a Giardinelli 4D bottom.. Works for me

I’m happy with a Wick 10CS on an LT16M and an 891Z. I’ll soon be trying a Bach 6.75C. The good old 6.5AL feels right on any tenor horn I pair it with, especially a .525 horn.

I used to play 6.5 and 5 size pieces. Now I use a Greg Black 4M, a copy of an old Giardinelli. It’s about a 6.75C. Smaller, focused. Great for lead small bore.
Try the Patrick Mouthpieces BG5 too. Also slightly smaller. Made for the LT16M, speeds up the response. Also helps to bring out the highs that sometimes get lost with a darker Bach setup. It's magic.

I never played the original 4M so I can’t say. I went to Greg Black, gave him the Patrick BG5 and one of his 6C lights and said “I want a hybrid of both of these”. He measured the Patrick and made a 4M right then and there on the spot. He did it. Incredible mouthpiece.
