I've been modifying my grip to try and shift mouthpiece pressure from the top to bottom lip. Now my thumb hurts. The 42B trigger is a nice wide paddle which, as long as you press your thumb into the middle of it, is comfortable. I seem to be coming at it at an angle, which means the edge of the paddle hits the middle of my thumb pad. Are there any accessories or thumb covers to change the surface angle of the lever?

Maybe it's time to learn about Sugru?

I use the Instrument Innovations Axe Handle and cover the trigger paddle on my 42BO with a little Clear plastic tubing.

Makes everything a little more comfortable

I'm still at the "new grip experiment every day" stage. I'll save the permanent mod for later.

Honestly, you're not doing yourself any favors by trying to adapt to the horn!

You'll be MUCH happier having the horn made to fit you!!

I'm just trying to avoid a daily re-bending of the lever, until my hand finds out where it needs to be.
