A fair amount of trombone action in the Imperial March.

Is it weird that "May the 4th" gets more notice than actual May Day?

In the US, maybe, but elsewhere in the world May 1 is the universal Labor Day. Celebrated like the 1st Monday in September here in the US.

In Communist countries it's celebrated with a parade like Trump wants for his birthday.

May 4th should be designated as Paul Desmond Day.

I had nightmare about the main theme in Star Wars" Start with high F unison in all three trombones and then a double tongue four 16 notes. I have to admit I left the beginning to the two tenor trombones. I wonder if anyone would implement that in the bass trombone audition?

They would really need the “May the Force be with you.” 😉

Anyway, I think John Williams is the greatest composer of our time.
