Wow! Thanks for posting this!
Mike is a great guy so I'm not that surprised that he has done this. And he's a wonderful writer, so I'm sure this is all good stuff. Mike had the good fortune to do all those Trombone Unlimited records with Frank Rosolino back in the '60s, and that led to a great career during which he wrote hundreds of excellent charts.
We should all take advantage of Mike's generosity. I know I'm going to! :)
Thanks, Al.

I struck up some email conversations with Mike Barone during the pandemic, having emailed him and thanking him for his wonderful work on the old 'Trombones Unlimited' albums that my parents bought me as a young kid...that was the most inspiring music! Still is fantastic!
You can buy his Trombone/Guitar live jazz album. Beautiful! What a truly underated/underappreciated talent! The album is from a live concert in Vancouver, WA.
I had a teacher in Vancouver (BC!), Dave Robbins (Harry James, LA studios, later becoming a Canadian legend), who had lived and worked in LA for years and kept in touch with all his friends down there who were the 'establishment'.
He really dug Mike Barone, and mentioned him during some lessons as one of the best musicians around.
Check out Mike's jazz playing. Really unique and interesting and composing as he's going! Amazing technique.
(EDIT: Hmmm..... I don't see his Trombone/Gtr duo album for sale anymore. Must be somewhere!)j
