As the title says, here is an opportunity to "Build-a-Bone." I am offering these components separately or configure the way you want. Please contact me with questions and offers. Email will elicit a faster reply, but PM if you prefer. Standard shipping within the continental U.S. (lower 48) is included for all items. PayPal is my preferred method of payment. Don't be shy: Reasonable offers will be considered!
Bach Stradivarius 42B bell section: $750 obo
- 8-1/2" yellow brass bell
- F-attachment: standard rotor, mini-ball style linkage, traditional-wrap tubing
- includes zippered wood-shell case
This is a standard 42B bell section—circa 1990s. It is in very good condition. It was recently cleaned and serviced. There are a few minor dings—no dents to speak of. There is evidence of dent removal from the bell. Lacquer is about 95% intact. The mini-ball joints were recently replaced—so smooth, fast, and quiet. This a complete bell section; Just add a hand-slide—like the ones listed below—and you are ready to play. It includes zippered wood-shell case in good condition.

Custom Bach Corp. 42 slide: $600 obo
.547" bore, Yellow brass, Amado water-key. Serial# 330XX—possibly Corp—late 1970s. This is a unique find. It appears to have been customized years ago. The slide is gold-lacquered and the outer tubes seem to be semi-gloss/satin. It has a unique interchangeable lead-pipe system: The threads are on the outside of the receiver. It accepts press-fit pipes or special threaded pipes—includes original Corp-era 42 pipe with with threaded ring. It's in good condition with minor lacquer wear and scratches. Action: 9/10. NO stocking wear. Original old style Bach inners give great compression! NOTE: I have to double-check the serial# to confirm dates.

Bach LT36 slide: $675 obo
.525" bore. Lightweight nickel. Circa 1990s. In very good condition. It accepts press-fit pipes and includes a press-fit Edwards T2 (.525") leadpipe. Some lacquer wear, minor scratches. Action: 9/10 serviced by the Slide Doctor about a year ago. NO stocking wear. Currently has a Bach 42 tenon installed as to fit 42 bell sections—like the one listed above. Then you technically have a 36B with an 8-1/2" bell. And the option to switch to a 42 slide—like the one listed below. I will include original 36 tenon—easy swap for a technician.

As I said, all the components are available separately, or you can "Build-a-Bone." Prices above are listed for individual pieces. I will discount the price for a whole trombone (slide + bell) as follows. Or, we can negotiate for the purchase of multiple items: Because what you REALLY NEED, is the versatility of trombone with interchangeable slides (36B/42B).
42B bell section and Corp. 42 slide: $1325 obo
42B bell section and LT42 slide: $1350 obo
42B bell section and LT36 slide: $1400 obo
Remember the bell section or while horn includes a case. And ALL items include standard shipping within the continental U.S. (lower 48). Thanks for looking!
