Yamaha M1

HI all,
I recently came across a couple of trombones in a school that that seem to have the model number M1, I assume they are sone sort of student level instrument, but I’m just wondering if anyone knows how they fit in with the more common 154 or 354 models?

It's just what the 354 or 200AD have engraved on the slide, all the same

Just to lock that in, yes: 354 == 200AD == M1.

Thanks for that, I had never heard of or seen an M1 before, though I am interested in a reasonable straight tenor in addition to my Yamaha 646.

I should point out that the M1 had a problem with the chrome plate on the inner slide. Not all had the problem, but just make sure yours doesn't. If there are blisters in the chrome plate or jagged edged holes, skip that instance.

I am not really aware of the M1 designation, so forgive that oversight... I have rarely seen 354 or 200AD instruments with issues like that on the inner tubes, but pretty much every 352 I've seen has had rotted out inners. Do with this information what you will.
