Looking for a hard case that will work for my circa 1950 Pan American. It won't fit in a standard Conn student plastic case (the vertical brace position is different). Can't justify spending much, though.

Not too many Pan American cases you'd want. Most are pretty smelly.

I'm not sure which other student cases will work. I have a couple that I'm not using, but I don't want to ship them. If you were near Southern New Hampshire we could possibly meet up.

If you don't need super protection, the $20 gig bags on Ebay would work -- you can carry it in the bag but it's not going to get much protection inside.

Thanks. I have a cheap gig bag, but if I put any money into it (i.e. see my separate thread on electronic effects instrument) I will likely want something a little more durable. The hand brace makes it not fit in a standard modern era Conn case.

Last time I was in southern NH was 1992. It was Fall and beautiful. Go Wildcats!

Eastman would be a good rather inexpensive case, also SKB.
