Case for King 3B and fits Hercules Travlite Stand

I've been using the original vintage coffin case that came with my King 3B trombone but I find it annoyingly bulky and heavy despite it looking so cool. It also doesn't fit my Hercules Travlite trombone stand when it sits in the bell.

Any recommended lightweight cases? I wonder if a Marcus Bonna would do as they're customisable?

I use this with my 3B SS. Very sturdy but also lightweight.

If you're looking for light, the Protec Max is much lighter than the Bonnas. It has an outer pocket that will carry a tbone stand. It's not a fashion statement, but its about 1/4 the price of a Bonna. I've carried 3b, 3bf a d 3bf+ in it successfully.

To research cases, go to Hickeys.com. A lighter case is the DAC, but its even more expensive than the Bonna.

Let us know what you get and why.

Was this the Max case for straight tenors or for those w/attachments? I worry about getting one of the f-attachment protec Max cases and having the bell very loose and the slide section moving around tons…..but I am not sure if a 3BF will fit in one of the straight cases.

The one I have is for F attachment, but there is one for straight horns that's even lighter. <LINK_TEXT text="https://www.protecstyle.com/STRAIGHT-TE ... E-MAX-CASE">https://www.protecstyle.com/STRAIGHT-TENOR-TROMBONE-MAX-CASE</LINK_TEXT>

Yeah, I am just not sure the 3bf would fit in it (the straight version). It looks like there would be enough room in the bell section area, but not sure.

One of my main considerations is the length of the case past the bell, as that is where the stand goes, I assume the best thing would be to go try some cases physically but thanks for the advice!
