What are your favorite Erik van Lier recordings?

This one should be him and has a really nice bass trombone part:

And the whole First Brass album has really nice bass trombone and tuba parts.

What else is out there?

"First brass" was just insane. Some of the best bin classical brass playing I ever listened to, what a line up.

He played a solo at a dutch trombone workshop a few years ago. Sounds like a fun piece and he sounds good, just wish they had made a better recording of this live performance.

There is also a lot of stuff with the "Skymasters", here he is with his brother, taking turns soloing.

A pioneer in European bass trombone playing, just wish there was more available of him.

Marcel's moonwalk is really nice and in spite of the bad recording it shows his playing and musicality.

The other one is also nice, but I really hope(d) there would be more.

And lastly, again on First Brass. It's really a record that every brass player should know.

Stylistically it's so different than any other brass ensemble, with such a great mix of styles and technical perfection.
