This guy wrote me on email claiming to have a mouthpiece that I’m after. Has anyone heard of him or done business with:

A good start is to ask for a picture of the mouthpiece with wording like "Trombonechat".

Plus must people have some kind of Online footprint. 80% of people here will get a hit if you search their name plus trombone together.

Trust your gut.

I had one come through on email only. It was on a want to buy posted here. After my experience with a tuning slide, I won’t go through with a transaction that originates from an email outside of the forum for stuff posted in the forum. If it’s coming from the forum, I’ll wait for a DM and then go from there…I’d be suspicious of it to say the least…

When in doubt, I ask for a video of the item in question and to give a thumbs up in the video. Usually they don’t respond again if they’re a scammer. Also PayPal G&S, as you already know.
