Isn't it funny that European jazz musicians (not all of them but many) strive to make it to US and NYC in particular for reputation, but NYC musicians want to tour Europe to get well paid?

There's absolutely no good reason for a forward/progressive/non-conservative/liberal-minded/creative/thinking/humanistic/ethical/inclusive 'jazz musician' to think about coming to the USA right now, and at least for the immediate future.

Who'd want to pay thousand of dollars in visa fees to come here in order to perform for little or no money and be scorned upon by current politicians as foreigners coming to the US and taking away work from Americans?

Who'd want to risk walking the streets of an American city right now unless you're a white person?
