All the best Jim!!

During a lesson, when Kleinhammer told me he was retiring, he said "I'm 65, I've been in the orchestra 45yrs, those are good round numbers"

Thanks Harold and Chris (and Gabe, who I already sent a PM)!

Yeah, the "round number" appealed to me - it's also the orchestra's 70th season. I hope to keep teaching at the University for a couple of years to try to finish off the degrees of my current students, and try to make a smooth transition for my successor there.

I'll miss a lot of things, but those morning services when it's 30 below, traffic's bad, and parking is worse - I'll enjoy another coffee in front of the fireplace instead!

You deserve that Jim.

Congratulations on a long productive career. And thanks for your many positive and constructive posts on TromboneChat. I am grateful!

Congrats on everything you've done over the years, Jim!

When I lived in Calgary, it was great to get to play with a real Julliard Grad setting the standard for us young guys just coming out of school ourselves up there. Wish I'd been around more to hear you play more music and trombone features.

Guess you can get a little more ski-time in now, too!

Enjoy, and hope to say hi in person at some point!
