Can a ''standard'' F attachment valve be reversed like the 350C or is this valve specifically designed and manufactured for this Yamaha model?

Just clock the stop arm 90 degrees and redo the linkage a bit, you have a reversed valve. The problem is cutting a trombone down to C.

The problem is remembering not to go to 7th.

On an F/Bb horn, none of us could even reach 7th.

That depends on what "F" we're talking about! :pant:

Reversing the valve without doing anything else (like cutting the horn down to C and reducing the valve to a whole tone based on the “C trombone length”)?
That’s essentially creating a double horn in F/B-flat….. a really bad double horn at that!
