Hello again, all!

Sorry to keep flinging questions into the aether, but I have another one to ask of you all. If I wanted to experiment with different slides for my Yamaha 613H, are there any in particular that I should look for? I don't know what slides fit with what manufacturers' instruments, or even if there is a clean compatibility. I seem to recall reading somewhere that standard Bach slides should fit fine on the Yamaha, but I don't know for certain. I'd be curious to try a dual bore slide, as well as a single bore slide with different materials (the 613H stock slide is nearly all yellow brass, and I've found that I tend to gravitate more towards the darker materials).

Any leads would be great!

A change to a nickel slide end bow, would have more effect, than changing slide alloy. (But not much)

Problem with you horn, it's not designed for .562/578 tube dual bore. You may have slide tenon issues, then those pesky valves, neck pipe etc. Bach slide, may work (I actually, have a Bach 50b, and a Yam 622, I may look in to that)

Possible, issues would slide tenon mismatch, slides different total length. Some others, may know.

A change in Bell Alloy/ flare, would have more effect, on sound color.

I had a 613H great horn. I found that Edward slides fit mine just fine, and it worked just fine with an Edwards duo bore slide, although a duo bore is not for everyone.

If the Bach tenon fits, an Edwards should also fit but it might not match totally. You can probably get a tenon for the horn straight from Yamaha though. Total cost is likely <$100 including installation. The rotors are likely .593 so the taper isn't an issue. That said, if I were trying, I'd go for a '1' leadpipe for this particular project for sure.
