Hi all, I’m sure many of you at one time or another have played with a 5-piece little German OomPah band, likely playing from the Alford's “Hungry Five in Germany” band folio book. After countless such gigs playing from ONLY that book and not really knowing that there were any others, I started writing and publishing some of my own arrangements for that unique combination of two clarinets plus trumpet, trombone, and tuba.

As I came to learn that there were in fact many more publications from Alford’s in that series (among others), it was difficult to learn much more about them as there remains very little to find in terms of web resources on these long out of print folios. Even though I realize this set of content is still presently incomplete, I’ve long hoped to stumble across such a collection of information.
