Bought a baritone for Merry Tuba Christmas this (and every year going forward).
I need 3 messages I think before any of them show, this is my hello.
I'm a retired engineer, mostly do music now, play in four local amateur groups, and have time to branch out. Currently playing trumpet, baritone, and clarinet. Yeah go figure those three, but they all synergize well with the embouchure as long as I am careful.
I took 20 years off and rebuilding a working embouchure at 65 has been the impossible task, 4 years of comeback playing and I'm still pretty weak compared to what I used to be when I was younger, but I am still getting better. SO I'm outrunning the clock so far. :-)
I was going to post asking what baritone I should buy, but I've already bought one I like before I figured out how to post here. Anyway, I need one more message somehow.

Ok, one more thing, and maybe this counts as another post.
My brother is professional trombone player, one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to play with.
Studied at Northwestern in 1980ish under Chicowitz (hope I spelled that right). Played in the CSO as an extra a few times when they needed extra brass for the Janacek Sinfonietta (he was on bass trumpet). I drove up from Atlanta when I was in college just to see and hear that, it was pretty amazing.

So no luck, this is post #4, not seeing any of my posts get through. Not sure what to do next. As my first post is pre-Christmas related time is running out. I promise I'm not a Cylon, and I'm not St. Nick either. :-)
I am still going to play lower brass even if there is nobody to hear me. (like a tree falling alone in the woods, does it really make a sound) :-)
I feel like a ghost haunting this forum, posting posts that only I can see...
