Hi Everyone
How should a person treat the threads of their leadpipes?
Use an oil
Apply some grease
Leave dry and clean
other......?
My first slide with a removable leadpipe and was wondering if I should put something on the threads.
Thanks
Randy

I just use tuning slide grease. I also put it sparingly on the outside of the pipe to keep that from corroding.

This. I’ve met too many people with stuck leadpipes. Tuning slide grease helps, but so does cleaning it regularly. Corrosion on the tube itself is likely to be more of a problem than the treads in my experience. If it moves, give it lube.
