The latest International Musician (AFM) has an interview with Jennifer Wharton and John Fedchock, AKA. Mr. and Mrs. Fedchock. Pretty good reading, I especially liked Jennifer‘s response to how is it to be a female bass bone player in New York. She said “I Ilive loud.”

My wife (also a trombonist) and I worked with Jen at the Cazadero Performing Arts Camp in the early-mid 2000s. Amazing player and a cool person to be around.

I'll have to check this out online, or wait a while. My November International Musician just arrived yesterday in the mail (along with a Christmas card). Nothing like combining two postal systems that are both deteriorating!

Great interview! I played in a community college jazz band and jazz trombone quintet with John when we were both in high school. Great guy then, great guy now. I met Jen when Bonegasm was playing in Cleveland - walked up to her and started chatting. When I told her I was a bass bone player and came to see her and not "the tall guy", she gave me a high five! I wish them both the best.
