I’m selling a Shires Bass Trombone that was made in Boston, Massachusetts before the Eastman Era (Serial: 4XXX) This horn is equipped with a BII 7GY Bell and a B62 Slide with a B2 Leadpipe. This horn absolutely plays great. The Bach-like sound from the bell gets a proper mix of width and dark tone. In addition, the response from the bell is what you need from a professional quality instrument. And remember, this isn’t a Q-series, so this horn is the real deal. The linkage have been upgraded to minibals, with an added silencer to the Gb linkage. Even with all the use and wear, this is a great bass trombone for someone needing a professional quality instrument. Been cleaned and serviced, comes with hard case.
