This horn plays very well. Has a big sound, excellent slide and super smooth valve. The slide is a wide style, think Bach, slide. The lacquer on the slide is not great. The bell has some acid bleed around the edge. There are some scratches in the lacquer, and evidence of light repair. Great back up horn or possibly a big bore for an advanced student to use in a Wind Ensemble or Orchestra. Get a good pro horn for a student
