Sharing our horn info and maybe pictures might be nice. Before things get going is there a wish of where and how?

Not sure. Maybe we can make a custom field in the profiles. You can also put that info in your signature, if you like.

I envisioned that type of information going in the "Instruments" main forum. At least if it's about a specific horn etc.

One thing I haven't noticed was the "My Stable" in your profile. Used to be on the old TromboneChat but not here. Is that something easy to add or not?
Note that the horn in my avatar is a Martin Imperial from the mid 1940s.

horn info is great: but, if there was a way to stabilize the info so the reader can ascertain the condition of the horns more readily. Like: bell size: bore size: slide condition (1 -10): dents: dings: lacquer: etc...

We have something VERY interesting coming within a few weeks. We can't mention too much just yet, but I think it'll be at least something you'll find handy.

This is actually two requests, one for generic information about a general model and one information about a specific horn. As Brian mentioned, we will have a resource for the former in the coming weeks. As far as the latter, I had originally proposed something like that for the classifieds section, as well as making the posts more fine grained; however, it was pointed out to me that while that might convenience the buyer, it does not the seller and we'd prefer not to put too many rules about posting to encourage people to post and then fix problems that occur later sine someone might not be aware of something that they are selling. So do make sure you do your due diligence in communicating what you are actually seeking! And the level of diligence varies greatly depending on what your needs are.
Another problem with a scale or even boolean descriptions of things is that the level of observation varies from person to person. Even something as simple as a slide condition... how can you quantify that? I have a great Edwards slide at the moment. I think you could easily justify 10/10. But it's heavier (physically) than another lightweight slide I have. Its certainly heavier than carbon fiber slides! If we're talking extremes, a 10/10 could mean only a carbon fiber slide and the best Shires/Edwards/Rath slide in lightweight nickel reserved for 9.5/10... etc. etc.
That said, we could produce a sticky for recommendations for things to put. If one isn't used to selling, it might be a useful reference for situations like say, 'Oh yeah, I wouldn't even think to indicate that there's lacquer wear because it plays great!'

It might be interesting to implement a wiki, where members can contribute to a page on various models. That would be a lot of fun, and be a standing answer page for all those questions about professional Buescher horns

I, too, second bringing back the "stable" area. I added my horns in my signature and thankfully stayed under the 250 character limit.

I'm glad this topic came back up. I've just created the aforementioned "stable" field in your User CPs. DO IT.

The 'Stable' field came up when I created my account, but I can't see how to access it from the User CP. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Probably just a matter of you fulfilling your 2-3 post Forum requirement to unlock all of the features.
Hey thanks!
My horns are up in my profile now.
And maybe the links are fixed so they can be seen. Are they?
