Hi all,

I’m finally getting around to selling my tenor. I traded my Courtois for this horn at Dillon Music in Jan. 2018, it’s been played maybe 4 times since then.

I’m selling this horn as is. It’s certainly a can of worms. The bell section is from 1980ish (Serial 42XXX), and the slide is from 1992ish (96XXX).

I had an Amado key installed on the slide, and the local music store I had the work done didn’t do the best of job. I got the slide back and there are some minuscule dents on the outer slide that makes the slide a little noisy, and marginally slower than usual. The horn is completely delacquered, so there is a small amount of red rot developing on the bottom outer tubes. It comes with no slide lock.

The bell section is fairly typical. It’s in pretty good condition. The main tuning slide is slightly out of bend, so the bell plays just a little dead. Additionally, there was a strange patch job done by the valve, but it appears that there was no need for a patch, just an extra piece of metal haphazardly put on.

The horn comes with a Courtois backpack case, I went to Europe for 21 days a few summers ago with this case and the Courtois horn, so it’s seen some miles. It’s still in pretty great condition though.

I know this is a lot, but this horn would be a great project horn, and if given the investment would play well anywhere. I just don’t have the time to do so. Plus, I’m a Bass Performance Major, so I’m looking for a sweet new Edwards on my horizon.

Everything being said, I’m looking to sell this horn for $1100-1200, buyer pays shipping. I’m located in Louisville, KY so I would be willing to drive a ways to meet someone halfway, etc.

I’ll entertain any offers! The worst I can say is no of course. Please, someone else gain from my stupid trade and loss!

Thanks much!
