Bach Counterweight Screw

I’ve seen this done before...one Bach counterweight mated with half of another Bach counterweight. It adds more weight. I just need longer screws. Anybody know if I go to a hardware store what to ask for?

After some trial and error, the screw used in a Bach Counterweight is a #10 machine screw at 1/2in. You can mate 1 and a half Bach counterweights together using a #10 3/4in screw.
