For Sale

Shires Bass Trombone with independent O.E. Thayer valves, .562 single-bore yellow slide with nickel crook, yellow “B” tuning slide, B 2Y HW T7 9 ½ inch bell in unengraved raw brass.

I am the original owner and have owned this instrument for 20 years, and with the exception of expected lacquer wear it is in excellent condition, never dropped, smashed, crashed or flung and has no damage. The valve section has great compression and the slide is in excellent condition. Any and all work has been performed by Ron Partch of Partch Brasswind in Toronto.

The instrument has a beautiful huge dark and centred sound and is very responsive.

Realistically priced at $3700 USD and will ship internationally as needed. Photos available upon email request. Thanks for looking.

I doubt you will part it out because that is an awesome horn. But if you decide to, I will pay $300 for the tuning slide. Good luck with your sale!!

Thanks for the message. It really is a wonderful horn, but I’m not to the point of parting it out just yet.
