Looking to sell my beautiful Bach 42A Hagmann trombone. The horn is in excellent condition except for a small scar from an unfortunate shipping accident on the bell that was professionally repaired. The horn does have a couple of minute pin-sized dings and a few tiny scratches. This particular horn features the incredibly open Hagmann valve which produces a warm sound with great projection without the feeling of resistance through the valve or open horn. The horn features a .547" large bore, 8-1/2" one-piece hand-hammered yellow brass bell, & an open wrap F attachment design. The slide is a solid 8/10 and that’s being conservative. No wear on inner tubes or at the stockings. The valve operates freely, quickly, and quietly. All tuning slides move with ease.

This horn plays wonderfully (even with the small bell repair) and the only reason why I have decided to part with it is because I prefer my A47 MLR. If you’re in the market for a great playing and like new 42A, please consider this one and don’t let the small scar on the bell deter you. The horn plays very open through the open horn side as well as through the Hagmann Valve. The horn slots well/partials line up as they should.

Horn will come with the factory Bach zippered case which is in great condition. Horn will not come with trombone stand pictured. No mouthpiece included.

Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail from Hawaii. Horn will be carefully packaged with an appropriate box as well as a generous amount of bubble wrap and packing peanuts.
