For sale:
Greenhoe Bach 42, red brass F attachment, leadpipes, and case.
I am selling a Greenhoe Bach 42 that I purchased in 2007 from the shop in Wisconsin. This trombone was my ‘daily driver’ for years, but is in great condition. It was professionally used in a DC military band (indoors!!) and professionally cared for as well.
To be clear this is a Bach 42 that was modified and assembled by the Greenhoe team. Note that the the F attachment tubes are red brass (the bell is standard yellow brass). If you’re looking for a horn with the classic Bach sound but with a great valve and built to highest standard, look no further!
There quite a bit of acid bleed along the bell rim, and some lacquer-deep scratches on the bell. I’ve been told that both of these cosmetic issues could be solved by stripping the lacquer, but I didn’t want to do that. There are the hints of tiny mute dings in the bell as well. The slide is straight and clean, and the valve works like it always has. There is a bit of lacquer wear in the usual spots (hand grips) but not much.
I’m selling this horn because I have access to another very similar Greenhoe 42 and I don’t need both!
I’m including two additional leadpipes (one long, as you can see) and a lightly used, sturdy, protective case.
Let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
Asking $4300 shipped within the US.
