Did you know that the trombone is really old, was a very early chromatic brass instrument, and was used to double voices a really long time ago?

This is the earliest image of trombones ever discovered. The technology for building an inner slide with no brace has been forever lost.

Sorry, really off topic, but I'm sure that wasn't part of the original Flinstones series, as that looks like Judy Jetson playing the harp next to Fred (and sitting on an invisible chair?). There was a thread on the trombone forum where an original animation cell of Fred playing the trombone was for sale on eBay.
