Best option for a 72h replacement slide

I've read a previous thread about bad combinations and other ridiculous stuff like that. You could conceivably use a TIS slide, and lock it at a given lengrh. Or a slide that's not quite long enough like an SL6262, and just play it an inch off the bumpers and forget about 7th position.
Is there a proper length slide replacement for the 72h other than the 71 or 73? Is there a simple path to a custom slide starting from the basic SL6262? If you unsoldered the oversleeves and resoldered them an inch further out and just forget about 7th position because the inners are still too short. Or maybe a lengthened tuning slide (and again forget 7th position).
Open to ideas, but don't want to start another crazy argument.

Basically you've got to buy another 72h or 71h in half decent shape.
You could get Rath, M&W or maybe MK drawing to draw you new tubes but it's going to be a custom job and basically cost you as much as another 7Xh series horn.
You can always flip the bell section and you're only out about $300-$400 at the end of the day for the slide.
Those 7Xh series tubes are lonnnnng. Nothing else really like them.
That said... You could of course come up with some janky solution but like you said because of the short bell section you lose the whole point of the 7Xh and you lose 7th and flat 7th.
The only proper fix is custom tubes or a whole new (used) slide.

Just as a follow up, I contacted MK and they said for $390 I could get a set of inners and outers for the 72h. Along with a donor slide for the braces, barrels, tenon, leadpipe and crook, (plus shipping and labor), and you've resurrected a slide. Surely someone has a cheap, trashed 72h slide out there somewhere... it wouldn't even need to be a 72h slide, just any Conn 562 slide, non-TIS.

Really? Wow! I would have sworn it was more expensive. Well, hot dog make a new slide!
Still will cost almost as much as a new (used) 72H at the end of the day once you have a tech make the slide but it's worth it!

Allied has long Conn tubes. John Sandhagen just built a 71h slide for someone using their parts.

Update, I found a good tech with 80% of a 72h slide. One missing tube which he can get from allied. Very reasonable price. I got lucky.
