*SOLD*
I’m selling a great playing Bach 36B that I found locally. The horn is in fine mechanical shape -- the slide is a solid 8/10, the rotor smooth and quiet -- and the tuning slides move easily but stay where you put them. The bell flare and main tuning slide are un-lacquered, and the lacquer is worn on the valve section and the hand slide. No discernable wear on the inner slide tubes.
This 36B plays great, with a full, solid sound that is really easy to manage, play in tune, and blend with others. It sounds big and full with a 5-sized piece; I used it on principal for some lighter rep in NorCal regional orchestras. But with a smaller sized piece (6-1/2 size or smaller), it is a super flexible show horn, really great with a small jazz group or on third in a big band. A perfect middleweight instrument, it’s kind of an ultimate trombone-tastic multi-tool.
This early 90s horn is a virtual twin of my prized “Gigmeister” 36B that has been one of my main gigging instruments. I thought I’d keep it as a back-up, but circumstances dictate otherwise. It’s priced to sell – I got a good deal, and I’d like to move it quickly in order to recoup my costs.
$750 includes Continental US shipping, either without a case, or in the well-worn original square brown Bach case. Discount available if I don’t have to ship it. Offers considered, but not if they are embarrassingly low.
Inquiries, requests for pics, relationship advice, and offers well above my asking price should be directed to me via PM or at luisalbertclifford@yahoo dot com.
