Any idea who made this mute?...

I think it's a Shastock.

The black and gold color scheme, the staggered corks, and the bare wood bottom "violin maple resonator" were all common features on Shastock mutes.

I agree, almost certainly shastock. The corks, natural wood bottom and metal band at the top are give always for me.

As for the resonator, I have one that is specific about the “violin maple resonator” and one that isn’t. If memory serves, there are two versions. One with and one without/made from something else.

Up your alley, JohnL. It came with a practically-unplayed Fullerton Recording. I have never seen an Olds like this!

And I am pretty sure the bottom is "violin maple" because when I use the mute I get a strange urge to use endless vibrato!
