It may be a long shot, but does anyone have some experience with Haag trombones?
I have been in contact with the owner a few times, but ultimately I never made it to try one.
Who played one? How do they conpare to the other custom makers or to the industry standards?

I played the horns they had at ITF. They were not finished well and did not play well. Maybe the ones you can buy are better, but I was not impressed.

Yeah, you'd think it'd be the opposite, if anything. I always imagine that makers bring they're best examples to trade shows, and I'm always surprised when I see some instruments with very obvious flaws (and easily correctable) that they display.
