Getzen Custom Series 3047AF Profesional Trombone
Edwards Clone
Axial Flow (Thayer) Valve
8 1/2 Inch Yellow Brass Bell
.547 Large Bore
Three interchangeable Leadpipes
No Dents
New lacquer Finsih
Great Slide action
This one came to me from an older adult player with no dents but in need of new lacquer
It now has no dents and has a beautiful clear shiny finish.
I have been fortunate enough to play expensive custom horns for a while but my first thought playing this trombone was "Wow- I would be very happy playing this as my main horn". I played these when they first came out and was playing an Edwards at the time and could tell no difference. I know they were made in the same shop at that time.
Slide is very fast free and smooth and silent- exactly what you want a slide to be.
Axial flow (Thayer) valve is the best at making valved and non valved notes sound the same.
Large bore with Yellow bell projects to the back og the hall over adn through the largest ensemble but will blend nicely even in a chamber setting
Comes with a Bach 5G mouthpiece in equally great condition and will have an actual edwards case I am picking up Friday- Pics will be posted- It is one of the original two tone brown cases.
These horns new today sell for $3800 even online - I am asking half of that $1895 plus $60 shipping to lower 48 states and $120 to Europe. I can take paypal payments.
