Which alloy, yellow brass, gold brass, or nickel?

Hickeys’s Music Center has them for $289—list price $400.

Or if you have a Bach 42 (36) tuning slide, you can have it reversed—small tube (leg) switched traded with the receiver. Some players have this done on the 42/36. Of course you’d need the reciever too. Unless you had the tuning slide and receiver (or donor bell section) or find them cheap, it would be hard to beat Hickey’s price.

One of my friends was selling a 42 reversed tuning slide about a year ago on TTF. I’ll check and see if he still has it.

I wonder if Shires’ or Edwards tuning slides might fit? They’re reversed as well. Maybe some will see this and answer. Or you could call Shires and/or Edwards. Although, this option might cost even more—unless you buy used. Good luck!
