BillO brought up discussion about sciences inquiring as to if they were off topic or not. I think in line with our restriction on political things, we should really try to keep everything here as far away from anything contentious as we can so that we can focus on just being information about trombones. I posted a little justification for my thoughts there.

What do we think? Maybe we should put a sticky up clarifying justification for things as well as a specific set of guidelines. I could do it too but didn't want to put words in other's mouths.

As a potential compromise, we could spin up a separate forum. It would be pretty trivial to do that and that would be a good firewall. It seems like it would be possible to share the authentications with this site too but I'd want to do a lot of research before doing that to make sure we don't cutoff our ability to upgrade in the future.

Too much clarity is a good thing. I say go for it.
