I‘ve seen a 1920s Conn trombone advertised locally and in the pictures it looks decent. The seller says no slide significant slide wear. It‘s listed as a Conn 6 and I can see an LP marking, presumably for low pitch. Is this somehow similar to a 6H?

Can anyone give me a few pointers about the characteristics of these instruments (with the usual caveat that there are probably good and bad examples)? I‘m close enough to go over and try it.

Should be somewhat similar to later 6H I think. Bore would be .500. Bell I'm not sure. It wasn't atypical of Conn models at the time to have several bell size options. It was considered one of their "Symphony" models.

Expect unplated nickel silver inners with soldered on stockings (trombotine works better than modern lubricants), friction fit joint and a straight neckpipe.
