I have a decent condition Benge 165F with an excellent condition Wolfpak gig bag for sale. I think the bag is probably worth 25-30% of the horn itself! The Wolfpak bag is in great condition, basically no noticeable wear. I just don't need it. Will sell separately if interested, just let me know.
Most of you on here know these horns, but the 165 and 190 and two of the best value-priced valved tenors in existence, in my opinion. Recently played this one on Beethoven 9 here in Knoxville, and it worked excellently as a 2nd trombone in a section with a Conn 36H and a Conn 71H.
I gave the horn a good bath, it's clean and functional across the board. Slide moves well, no stocking wear. A little noisy, but not audible or distracting when playing. Valve is quick and clean. Lacquer is maybe 85%, though it's "hazy," as you can see in pictures. Main defects include a dent in the throat of the bell, a slight bending of the bell (see picture), a "scar" in the lacquer on the bell, and a repaired (but round) tuning slide. Please see pictures for all condition details, and feel free to request a specific photo.
$700 CONUS shipped OBO for both the horn and bag. I'm interested in straight or partial trades, namely:
2RVE bell
Small bore jazz horns
