Aida Stand - where to buy

I want to purchase an Aida Trombone Stand for my son. He is gigging quite a bit, bass bone. I have one and am well aware that as made it has marginal stability for a bass bone. I modified mine with retractable extensions on on each leg. Very easy to do.

Sooo, where to buy? Only two USA sources are found in a search. I am not gonna try Slidebone again, first try was not good. The Horn Guys are sold out.

A Japanese sight called Rakuten sells the stand. Have any of you folks in the USA (or outside of Japan) purchased from Rakuten? Any good or bad experiences to report?

Any other sources recommended?

I got mine from Hornguys in LA. They still have them on their website, but I don't know if they have them in stock. Give them a call, or send an email.

Hornguys website has posted 'sold out' for quite a while now :(

Hint: If Hornguys is showing the Aida stand as "sold out", you may not have better luck with Slidebone. Very likely the source is backordered and Slidebone will take your order and deliver on a geological time scale.

Slidebone gives good service when what you order is in stock or easily available. When there is a problem with supply he will not deliver in a timely fashion.

Just call Horn Guys. They are nice... guys. The web site might be wrong. Or, if they are truly out of stock, they can give you an ETA.

(Don't waste your time with Slidebone.)
