For sale a Yamaha YSL 882GO with some modifications. I had edge-type bracing added to the bell section/f attachment to free up the bell section more. The work was done by MW Trombones. I had the slide widened to Bach width; it has a bass nickel silver end crook from MK Drawing installed by my local tech then the slide was tuned up by the Slide Doctor; action is 10/10 with Yamaha Slide Lubricant. For reference, this slide is equivalent to the 882OR slide. The original bracing and end crook will be included in the sale. Pics available on request. $2000 obo.
I also have a light weight nickel silver slide made by Yamaha that fits this instrument that is in excellent shape. It is also Bach width with a bass end crook. I'm asking $500 obo.
Want to purchase them both? I'll sell them both for $2400 obo.
Thanks!
Michael

Just a heads up, we do allow bump posts but we do ask that if there is no update to the post other than the bump itself that you space them out to ~1 per week. Price changes are fine as well as additional information (pictures, etc.) though.
Thanks!

Really a great playing trombone, the mixture of the nickel silver slide and the gold brass bell is really nice. I am the original owner of the 882GO and it is in really good shape. Let me know if you would like pictures. I've still got them for sale. Feel free to make an offer. Thanks!

Still for sale - selling the nickel slide separately or with the 882GO. Pics available on request. Reasonable offers accepted. Thanks!

Still for sale & reasonable offers considered.
The instrument gets a more Back-like sound (I wanted a horn similar to the 882GOR) and the nickel silver crook defines the articulations a bit more than a yellow brass crook. I am including the original Conn-width yellow brass crook and a Conn-width nickel silver crook as well. The Edge-style bracing allows the f-attachment and bell to vibrate more freely, which I feel really adds to the performance of and feedback from this instrument. It really projects with little effort! The sound is even from bottom to top. I am selling because I decided to be fit for an Edwards trombone (they're only 1.25 hours from my home) and I have no use for this trombone.
If you're looking for an instrument with the response and quality construction of a Yamaha large bore set up to be like an 882GOR at a fraction of the price, then this is the instrument you are looking for. Don't forget, I can sell it with an all nickel Bach-width slide as well. Again, reasonable offers considered.
Thanks!
